A gorgeous orchid from my heirloom collection, Dendroboum Sunset Gold = Den. Brimbank Dark Night ' Burgundy Blaxe' x Den. speciosum 'Goldimoon Melissa' theres a few derivations of this going around, this has a nice big textured flower with plenty of colour, this orchid has been specifically selected and grown out from a seedling based on some quality attributes such as; not to leggy, compact grower, good growth habit in a cool climate, a nice flower that opens completely, reliably and no fuss care. I produce a lot every year for people to enjoy, typically when you buy a big orchid its overgrown, that means a new pot, buy some bark ect and then rip it apart and pot it up, that's alright for some! but a lot of work for others, thats not the case with my heirloom collection, this orchid has been grown out for you to enjoy from day one! and into the future, no fuss, no fluffing about! its in flower and its ready for someone to enjoy, plenty of buds yet to open. This orchid is well established won't need repotting for a few years. Its a big heavy plant, 200mm pot, so freights a bit expensive but look what your getting for your money, I call these my heirloom orchids because these are the orchids that you can share with your family and friends and the memorys they bring far into the future.
